Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to the Nature Unlock app (hereby referred to as “Application”) for mobile devices that was created by Md Walid Islam (hereby referred to as “Service Provider”) as a Commercial service.
Upon downloading or utilizing the Application, you are automatically agreeing to the following terms. It is strongly advised that you thoroughly read and understand these terms prior to using the Application. Unauthorized copying, modification of the Application, any part of the Application, or our trademarks is strictly prohibited. Any attempts to extract the source code of the Application, translate the Application into other languages, or create derivative versions are not permitted. All trademarks, copyrights, database rights, and other intellectual property rights related to the Application remain the property of the Service Provider.
The Service Provider is dedicated to ensuring that the Application is as beneficial and efficient as possible. As such, they reserve the right to modify the Application or charge for their services at any time and for any reason. The Service Provider assures you that any charges for the Application or its services will be clearly communicated to you.
The Application stores and processes personal data that you have provided to the Service Provider in order to provide the Service. It is your responsibility to maintain the security of your phone and access to the Application. The Service Provider strongly advises against jailbreaking or rooting your phone, which involves removing software restrictions and limitations imposed by the official operating system of your device. Such actions could expose your phone to malware, viruses, malicious programs, compromise your phone’s security features, and may result in the Application not functioning correctly or at all.
Third-Party Services
The Application utilizes third-party services that have their own Terms and Conditions. Below are links to the Terms (or governing policies) of the third-party service providers used by the Application:

Please be aware that the Service Provider does not assume responsibility for certain aspects. Some functions of the Application require an active internet connection, which can be Wi-Fi or provided by your mobile network provider. The Service Provider cannot be held responsible if the Application does not function at full capacity due to lack of access to Wi-Fi or if you have exhausted your data allowance.
If you are using the Application outside of a Wi-Fi area, please be aware that your mobile network provider’s agreement terms still apply. Consequently, you may incur charges from your mobile provider for data usage during the connection to the Application, or other third-party charges. By using the Application, you accept responsibility for any such charges, including roaming data charges if you use the Application outside of your home territory (i.e., region or country) without disabling data roaming. If you are not the bill payer for the device on which you are using the Application, they assume that you have obtained permission from the bill payer.
Similarly, the Service Provider cannot always assume responsibility for your usage of the Application. For instance, it is your responsibility to ensure that your device remains charged. If your device runs out of battery and you are unable to access the Service, the Service Provider cannot be held responsible.
In terms of the Service Provider’s responsibility for your use of the Application, it is important to note that while they strive to ensure that it is updated and accurate at all times, they do rely on third parties to provide information to them so that they can make it available to you. The Service Provider accepts no liability for any loss, direct or indirect, that you experience as a result of relying entirely on this functionality of the Application.
The Service Provider may wish to update the Application at some point. The Application is currently available as per the requirements for the operating system (and for any additional systems they decide to extend the availability of the Application to) may change, and you will need to download the updates if you want to continue using the Application. The Service Provider does not guarantee that it will always update the Application so that it is relevant to you and/or compatible with the particular operating system version installed on your device. However, you agree to always accept updates to the Application when offered to you. The Service Provider may also wish to cease providing the Application and may terminate its use at any time without providing termination notice to you. Unless they inform you otherwise, upon any termination, (a) the rights and licenses granted to you in these terms will end; (b) you must cease using the Application, and (if necessary) delete it from your device.
Image Data Handling
To verify an early unlock, the Application captures a photo and sends it to Google Cloud Vision API and/or Google Gemini API (both subject to Google’s terms and privacy policy) to determine whether it shows a real tree, flower, grass, or snow. These photos are processed only to perform that check — they are not used to identify you and are not shared for any other purpose. On devices or in cases where cloud analysis is unavailable, an on-device fallback (Apple/Google on-device image labeling) may be used instead.
Screen Time Data Handling
- Detailed screen-time figures (hours spent in apps) are produced by a sandboxed iOS extension and stay on your device; they are not transmitted to our servers.
- To enforce free-plan limits, the Application stores simple usage counts (for example, how many app-locks, unlocks, or early-ends you have used) in our backend (Supabase). For users who have not signed in, these counts are tied to an anonymous identifier. For signed-in users (via Apple or Google), a small amount of account data — your monthly early-end / early-unlock allowance and your break streak — is stored against your account identifier so that limits and backup work across your devices. In neither case do we store which specific apps you use or your detailed screen-time figures.
Optional Account (Sign in with Apple or Google)
Creating an account is optional; the Application works without one. If you choose to Sign in with Apple (on iPhone) or sign in with Google (on Android), we receive an account identifier and an email address (with Apple, this may be Apple’s private “Hide My Email” relay address), and you may set a display name/nickname, used only to back up your break streak across devices and to track your personal monthly free-allowances. You can sign out, or delete your account and associated data, at any time in the in-app Settings.
Advertising
The free version of the Application displays ads served through Google AdMob, which may use a mobile advertising identifier and device information to deliver, personalize, and measure ads (subject to Google’s advertising policies). On iOS you can limit ad tracking via Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. The Premium version does not display ads.
Your Rights
- Delete all local app data by uninstalling the App.
- Control app permissions (camera, tracking, etc.) through your device settings.
- Local data is retained until app uninstallation.
Free Version Features
- Unlimited Focus Mode sessions, with a mindful breathing pause before ending early
- One recurring Scheduled Focus that locks selected apps automatically on a schedule
- Daily app blocking (Social Media Lock) using iOS Family Controls APIs, with nature-photo unlock
- A monthly allowance of free early-ends for focus sessions and app locks (sign-in required so the allowance can be tracked per person)
- Meditation sounds & timer
- Access to stats & progress (data deleted upon uninstalling the App)
Note: Usage limits and free allowances are subject to change at our discretion.
Premium Version Features
- Unlimited daily app blocking via iOS Family Controls APIs
- Unlimited recurring Scheduled Focus
- Custom session durations and extended block durations
- Deep Focus — an optional commitment mode for a session, lock, or schedule that cannot be ended early until its timer or window finishes
- Unlimited early-ends for focus sessions and app locks

Pricing and Payments
The Premium version is available through in-app purchase with two subscription options: a Monthly subscription and an Annual subscription.
- All prices are shown in your local currency within the app.
- Prices may vary by region and are subject to change.
- Payment will be charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
- You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings.
- No refunds will be issued for any unused portion of a subscription period.
Promotional Codes
From time to time the Service Provider may offer promo codes that unlock Premium features for a limited time.
- Promotional access is promotional only and free — no payment is taken and no payment method is required.
- It is time-limited and does NOT auto-renew. When the promotional period ends, Premium access simply stops; there is nothing to cancel and you are never charged.
- A promo code is separate from a paid subscription. You must be signed in (Sign in with Apple, or Google Sign-In on Android) to redeem one, each code can be redeemed once per account, and a code may have limited availability, a redemption limit, or an expiry date.
- Promo codes are offered entirely at the Service Provider’s discretion and may be changed or withdrawn at any time.
App Blocking Functionality
The App uses iOS Family Controls APIs to restrict access to selected applications.
Age and Consent
- The App is available for users of all ages.
- Users under 13 must have parent or guardian consent.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any account you create.
Acceptable Use
- You agree not to circumvent or attempt to circumvent the App’s blocking mechanisms.
- You agree not to use the App for any unlawful purpose.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- Some focus and lock modes (such as “Deep Focus”) are self-imposed commitments that intentionally cannot be ended early until the timer or schedule finishes. By enabling them you accept that you will not be able to unlock or end the session early through the App, and you remain responsible for ensuring you retain access to anything you may need during that time.
Changes to Service
We reserve the right to:
- Modify or discontinue any part of the service;
- Change prices or availability;
- Update these terms with reasonable notice.
The App is provided “as is” without warranties. We are not responsible for:
- Inability to access blocked apps, including under commitment modes such as Deep Focus that prevent ending a session, lock, or schedule early;
- False positive or negative (flower or tree) detection results;
- Any consequences of app blocking or unblocking;
- Screen-time tracking accuracy;
- Availability or functionality of the app features.
Changes to These Terms and Conditions
The Service Provider may periodically update these Terms and Conditions. Therefore, you are advised to review this page regularly for any changes. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms and Conditions on this page.
